Downtown Façade DTR Project Status of Funded Activities

 

At or shortly after 6:40 PM on Monday, October 14, 2024, the City of Dexter will hold a public hearing to take public comments and questions about the status of a funded Community Development Block Grant provided by the Iowa Economic Development Authority.  The project involves the construction of building façade improvements in downtown Dexter.  If you wish to learn more about the project or have comments or questions, please plan to attend this hearing or submit such comments or questions in writing to the City Hall before the hearing.  The meeting will be held at the City Hall at 911 State Street, Dexter, Iowa 50070.  Please contact the City Hall at 515-789-4210 for more information.  If you need any accommodation or an interpreter or have general questions about the meeting, please contact Jeremy Rounds at Southern Iowa Council of Governments at 641.782.8491 at least 48 hours in advance of the hearing. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR LOTS 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 AND 24 IN BLOCK 3 IN THE TOWN OF DEXTER, DALLAS COUNTY, IOWA.

 

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that a public hearing will be held by the Dexter City Council at City Hall at 911 State Street, Dexter, Iowa 50070, at 6:45 P.M. on,
Monday, October 14th, 2024
.  The public hearing will discuss the proposed special use permit application for the installation and use of solar panels.

 

All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting be heard on the aforementioned proposed special use permit application.  Further information regarding same may be obtained by contacting the Redfield City Clerk.

Auditor of State Rob Sand released a report on a special investigation of the Dexter Public Library for the period July 1, 2015 through March 1, 2022.  A copy of the complete report and related news release is attached.  A copy is also available on the Auditor of State’s website at https://www.auditor.iowa.gov/reports by selecting the “Special Interest Reports” option then the appropriate report.
